About the event
Join us for what is sure to be an informational and stimulating discussion on physical activity and its effects on the secondary health complications associated with spinal cord injury. We will be joined by Aaron Wexler, a Kinesiology graduate, and Master of Science in Physical Therapy Student at the University of Toronto. He will be discussing the benefits of physical activity and guidelines for people with spinal cord injuries and providing examples and demonstrations of exercises that can be completed at home with minimal equipment. As a volunteer at a wheelchair-accessible exercise program for over 4 years, Aaron will discuss tips and tricks to make exercise more accessible and realistic for people with a spinal cord injury.
Whether you are a regular exerciser, someone looking to start, or someone just interested in learning more about physical activity, we would love to have you join us!
